not more wind!
So today is somewhat calm, however, yesterday was not! Man oh man did it get windy. Darn near blew off all the navel tree blossoms! The wind is not my friend, lol.

The wind is REALLY REALLY BAD right now!
I can hear the wind howling like never before outside currently!
I can only hope all the clothespins and clampsI used to cover the garden are holding up. I hope the trees are still in the ground! It looks really bad.

Wake up with the wind!
So today we wake up with the wind blowing like mad outside! I have left the two raised gardens uncovered, no frost cloth, for the last week and fear that this wind may destroy all our hard work. The wind is one thing to deal with but, the cold weather in the mornings make it twice as hard to want to go outside, lol.

WIND!
Had a nice rain roll in yesterday which dropped a lot of rain. Now we awake to a huge wind storm!
This wind is really blowing hard and it's super cold! We are bracing for mid 20's tonight and the way it looks right now I'm thinking this wind is here for a while also. The wind is making it very difficult to cover the garden with the frost cloth.

Strong winds
The wind is pickingup speed by the second over here. I guess there is a large storm south of us and this is just the start of it for our area. I love the rain, but the winds are another issue all together.
I hope we get some good lightning!

Heat and wind is a combo for leaf wilt
So today is the first real day of wind for us over here on the West side of Arizona. I woke up to the sound of our bamboo wind chimes hitting rather harder than usual. Monsoons? Maybe soon....
Take a look at what 110 degree heat combined with 10-12mph off & on winds can do to a lovely habanero pepper plant. This is normal for Arizona. If your plant is looking good in the early morning hours and only looks wilted like this during hot part of the day, then your fine. This is a natural protection and water conservation technique that leaves will do when things get hot and windy like this.
