Arizona garden in April of 2010

I found this old footage of our Arizona garden from April 2010 as we were just starting out.

Record breaking heat this weekend

It is so amazing to me to think that even with record breaking heat this weekend our peppers and tomatoes are doing great. I guess it proves that deep and infrequent watering really works to keep your trees and plants healthy.

If I remember right, the high for Saturday was said to be 109 degrees, breaking the old record of 107 degrees set back in 1980.

Another day, another reason to make salsa!

Here's a good look at a few more peppers and tomatoes I picked earlier this morning. Salsa sounds like a nice treat today!

I can't wait until I have my cilantro plants growing. And if I can swing it, maybe a bears lime tree sometime soon :)

The top peppers are jalapenos, the tom's are early girl, (I think), and the bottom peppers are the Anaheim peppers.

Heat is wilting our Arizona tomatoes

The heat is hitting our tomatoes hard today. A little tomato leaf wilt doesn't bother that much, I know it actually helps them produce a better tasting harvest.

I'm going to try and save these tomatoes as long as I can. The 4 tomato plants we have give us about 10 or so tomatoes every few days.
